The résumé cannot tell you who you are

You are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.

Ephesians 2:10

The résumé cannot tell you who you are. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. Faith does not require you to pretend this is easy. What matters is whether the circumstance gets authority over the meaning of your life. Your value is not created by what you accomplish. Jesus Christ is the One with authority to name you. Slow the moment down. Choose obedience instead of repeating what is familiar.

Which part of this situation is actually yours to handle? What part needs to be released back to God?

Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You what I understand and what I cannot make sense of. Keep fear, shame, pride, or loneliness from directing my response, and teach me to move with You. Amen.
