When a diagnosis changes the calendar. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. You can name the loss, mistake, rejection, or limitation without naming yourself by it. Wisdom sees clearly; captivity lets the circumstance become a label. Physical limitation does not erase dignity, and physical ability does not create it. Steward your body under the lordship of Jesus Christ. You can be specific and unguarded with Jesus Christ. He can work with what is true, not what merely sounds respectable.

Which belief about yourself feels true mainly because this circumstance hurts? What would change if Christ's words had more authority than that interpretation?
