When access should match trust

Jesus withdrew, prayed, and did not respond to every demand.

Mark 1:35-38

When access should match trust. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. You may feel pressure to do something simply so the tension will decrease. Let obedience outrank immediate relief. Saying where your responsibility ends is not the same as refusing to love. Follow Christ in what you allow, what you refuse, and what you stop carrying. Today does not need to carry the weight of your entire life. The next decision is enough ground for obedience today.

Jesus Christ, I want this response to be led by You rather than by an old pattern. Strengthen me to choose obedience where repetition once felt automatic. Amen.
