When an aging parent needs more than you can give. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. Be careful when urgency is mainly the desire to feel better immediately. Fast relief and faithful direction are not always the same thing. Family history explains some of what shaped you, but it does not own your future. Let Jesus Christ teach you a different way where the family pattern has been automatic. One day is not responsible for resolving every unanswered question. What matters is who gets the final word in the decision in front of you.
