Guard your heart because the direction of your life flows from it.

When an apology never arrives. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. There is a difference between acknowledging reality and surrendering your identity to it. One is wisdom. The other is captivity. Love does not require you to ignore wisdom. Jesus Christ can teach you to love people without handing them authority He never gave them. Bring the real problem to Jesus Christ, not the polished version. He already knows what is underneath.

Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You the part I can explain and the part I cannot. Keep me from reacting out of fear, shame, pride, or loneliness. Teach me to move with You. Amen.
