Not everything permissible should be allowed to master you.

When complaining becomes the atmosphere. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Catch the conclusion forming underneath your first reaction. What repeats automatically often depends on never being examined. A habit becomes dangerous when it quietly starts deciding for you. Let Christ retrain what repetition has made automatic. A dramatic feeling is not required for a faithful response. The next right response matters more than producing a dramatic moment.

When you ask for advice, what answer are you secretly hoping to receive? What would obedience require if the familiar answer is not the faithful one?

Lord, I give You both my understanding and my confusion. Give me a clear response that reflects Your truth rather than my panic. Amen.
