When conviction gets confused with condemnation

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

The gospel centers on Christ crucified for our sins and raised from the dead.

When conviction gets confused with condemnation. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Before you react, ask what this moment is trying to make you believe. Old patterns survive because they move quickly, before truth gets a chance to speak. Christian faith is not confidence in your own ability to stay strong. It is trust in Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, when your feelings are inconsistent. You do not need a dramatic feeling today. You need enough truth to refuse the old script one more time.

Are you seeking wisdom, or are you seeking permission to repeat what is familiar?

Jesus Christ, I release my need to control how this turns out. Help me steward what You actually placed in my hands and trust You with what You did not. Amen.
