When delay is revealing what hurry hid

Patient waiting is active, like a farmer expecting a harvest.

James 5:7-8

When delay is revealing what hurry hid. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. You can name the loss, mistake, rejection, or limitation without naming yourself by it. Let truth describe the circumstance without allowing it to define your worth. The unanswered middle is not proof that you have been overlooked. The waiting room is still part of the place where faith can become practical. You can be specific and unguarded with Jesus Christ. He is not surprised by what the polished version leaves out.

Which belief about yourself feels true mainly because this circumstance hurts? What part of that story needs to be surrendered to truth?

Lord Jesus, I release the result I keep trying to carry ahead of time. Help me act responsibly without crossing into control. Amen.
