When disappointment has become your default setting. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. Christian faith makes room for reality without bowing to it. This moment can be difficult without becoming the source of your truth. Christian hope does not require a painless story or a predictable ending. Jesus Christ is still Lord, and resurrection is still real. You are allowed to take a moment before you respond. Choose what is faithful, not merely what is familiar.

Which piece belongs to your obedience rather than your anxiety? Where does surrender need to begin after responsibility ends?

Lord, catch the old pattern before I follow it again. Lead me in truth before emotion or habit can take over. Amen.
