When every emergency becomes your emergency

Each person has responsibilities they must carry themselves.

Galatians 6:5

When every emergency becomes your emergency. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Notice the story your mind is building before you act on it. Truth needs a moment to speak before habit takes the microphone. Boundaries clarify what you will participate in; they do not exist to control another person. You can remain loving while refusing access that continually violates wisdom. You may not feel transformed in this moment, and that is okay. Choose what is true even if the old feeling is still present.

Do you want truth, or do you want reassurance that the old pattern is acceptable? Where might Scripture disagree with the response you prefer?

Lord, catch the old pattern before I follow it again. Help me recognize truth quickly and act on it faithfully. Amen.
