When everybody expects you to organize everything

Ezekiel 18:20

You are not required to keep repeating another person's sin.

When everybody expects you to organize everything. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to deny what is happening. Christianity is not pretending. The question is whether the circumstance gets to become lord over the meaning of your life. Family history explains some things, but it does not get to prophesy your future. Jesus Christ can interrupt what has repeated for generations. You are allowed to slow down long enough to choose obedience instead of repetition.

What part of this situation belongs to you, and what part are you trying to carry for God?

Jesus, interrupt whatever is automatic in me that does not look like Your truth. Give me a clear mind, a guarded heart, and the courage to do the next faithful thing. Amen.
