When exercise becomes punishment. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. Reality can be accepted without becoming your identity. Wisdom sees clearly; captivity lets the circumstance become a label. Your body is neither your god nor your enemy. Treat your body with wisdom while keeping your identity anchored beyond it. The honest version belongs in prayer. He can work with what is true, not what merely sounds respectable.

What interpretation are you carrying that goes beyond what actually happened? What would change if Christ's words had more authority than that interpretation?

Lord, I give You both my understanding and my confusion. Lead me away from fear-driven reactions and into obedience with You. Amen.
