When God is quiet and the deadline is loud. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. Facing the truth of the situation does not require handing it your identity. Let truth describe the circumstance without allowing it to define your worth. Delay is not evidence that God has forgotten your name. Jesus Christ is present in the part of the story that has not moved yet. Prayer is not the place to perform being fine. He is not surprised by what the polished version leaves out.

Which label are you putting on yourself because of what happened? What part of that story needs to be surrendered to truth?

Jesus Christ, I come to You without pretending I understand all of this. Steady me where fear and pride want to take over, and lead me faithfully. Amen.
