Even ordinary choices can be made for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

When gossip feels like connection. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You can tell the truth about what is happening without surrendering to it. What is happening can be acknowledged without becoming the ruler of your identity. A pattern is worth confronting when it repeatedly makes the decision before you do. Freedom in Jesus Christ includes learning to say no to appetites that have learned to command you. Give yourself enough room to respond on purpose. A deliberate response can interrupt what has repeated for years.

What responsibility has God truly placed in your hands here? What can you entrust to Jesus Christ after you have been faithful with your part?

Lord Jesus, I release the result I keep trying to carry ahead of time. Let me do my part with integrity and leave Your part in Your hands. Amen.
