When gossip feels like connection

1 Corinthians 10:31

Even ordinary choices can be made for the glory of God.

When gossip feels like connection. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to deny what is happening. Christianity is not pretending. The question is whether the circumstance gets to become lord over the meaning of your life. A habit becomes dangerous when it starts deciding for you. Jesus Christ did not free you so another appetite could quietly become your master. You are allowed to slow down long enough to choose obedience instead of repetition.

What part of this situation belongs to you, and what part are you trying to carry for God?

Jesus Christ, I release my need to control how this turns out. Help me steward what You actually placed in my hands and trust You with what You did not. Amen.
