When grace feels too simple for what you did
Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith.
Hebrews 12:2
When grace feels too simple for what you did. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. Relief can become more attractive than discernment when the moment is uncomfortable. A faithful direction can require staying uncomfortable long enough to choose well. Christian faith is not confidence in your ability to keep yourself spiritually strong. Faith can be honest about weakness while still resting in the finished work of Christ. You do not need a master plan before taking the next faithful step. Choose whose truth will govern the part you can actually act on now.
Which truth would change the way you interpret this moment? Where can you deliberately rehearse truth instead of the old story?
Jesus, I bring You the facts, the emotions, and the questions I cannot resolve. Lead me away from fear-driven reactions and into obedience with You. Amen.
