When grief shows up in ordinary places

Jesus invites the weary and burdened to come to Him for rest.

Matthew 11:28-30

When grief shows up in ordinary places. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. The danger is not that the feeling showed up. Do not let fear become control, rejection become chasing, shame become hiding, or exhaustion become permission to abandon wisdom. You can heal without rewriting the past as harmless. Let Christ heal what happened without allowing it to become your name. Faithfulness does not require control over what happens next. Remain surrendered to Christ in the unresolved middle.

What part of this situation have you mistaken for a final definition? What truth becomes easier to hear when this moment is not final?

Jesus Christ, show me what is actually true here and expose the story I have layered on top of it. Make me obedient in my responsibility and surrendered about the outcome. Amen.
