When pain makes you impatient

Even as the outer body changes, God can renew the inner person day by day.

2 Corinthians 4:16

When pain makes you impatient. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. A hard feeling often creates an appetite for the fastest exit. A faithful direction can require staying uncomfortable long enough to choose well. Your body is temporary and still worthy of wise stewardship. Steward your body under the lordship of Jesus Christ. The whole story does not have to become clear this morning. Choose whose truth will govern the part you can actually act on now.

What verse or biblical reality needs to become stronger than the emotional conclusion? Where can you deliberately rehearse truth instead of the old story?

Jesus, I do not want familiarity to outrank obedience in this moment. Give me a new response that reflects Your truth rather than my history. Amen.
