When prayer feels like talking into an empty room. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. A turning point can happen before the circumstance moves at all. A different response is evidence that the old script is not in charge. Christian faith is not confidence in your ability to keep yourself spiritually strong. Trust Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, when your feelings are inconsistent. The familiar reaction does not deserve an automatic yes. The next chapter can begin with a different response.

Which piece of this situation are you gripping because uncertainty feels unsafe? How could you remain responsible without trying to become sovereign?

Jesus Christ, I place both the clear part and the confusing part before You. Lead me away from fear-driven reactions and into obedience with You. Amen.
