When resurrection hope feels far away

Faith grows through hearing the word of Christ.

Romans 10:17

When resurrection hope feels far away. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to minimize the situation to trust Jesus Christ. What is happening can be acknowledged without becoming the ruler of your identity. Faith is not a performance review of how consistent your feelings have been. Faith can be honest about weakness while still resting in the finished work of Christ. Refuse the pressure to react automatically. A deliberate response can interrupt what has repeated for years.

What is yours to steward today? What can you entrust to Jesus Christ after you have been faithful with your part?

Jesus Christ, bring my conclusions into the light and correct what does not agree with You. Help me respond to what is true and leave the ending in Your hands. Amen.
