When saying yes at work is costing your home life. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. Facing the truth of the situation does not require handing it your identity. What happened can inform your story without becoming your name. A job can be important without becoming the source of your worth. Your calling to faithfulness is deeper than any title on a business card. Prayer is not the place to perform being fine. Nothing beneath the surface is hidden from Him.

Which label are you putting on yourself because of what happened? How does that story compare with what Christ says is true?

Jesus Christ, expose every assumption in this situation that is pretending to be fact. Lead me in what is mine to do and help me release what is not. Amen.
