When social media makes everybody else look ahead

Your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:3

When social media makes everybody else look ahead. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Pay attention to what this situation is quietly asking you to believe. The old script is strongest when it never has to answer to Scripture. Performance can describe what you did, but it cannot establish what you are worth. The verdict that matters most belongs to Jesus Christ. Change does not always arrive with a powerful feeling. One truthful response can keep the old pattern from writing another page.

Do you want truth, or do you want reassurance that the old pattern is acceptable? Where might Scripture disagree with the response you prefer?

Jesus, uncover the assumptions I am treating like truth. Give me courage to act on truth and peace about what remains outside my control. Amen.
