When somebody uses Christianity to shame you

Faith grows through hearing the word of Christ.

Romans 10:17

When somebody uses Christianity to shame you. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Notice the story your mind is building before you act on it. What repeats automatically often depends on never being examined. Faith is not a performance review of how consistent your feelings have been. Return to Jesus Christ Himself rather than measuring faith by your emotional temperature. You may not feel transformed in this moment, and that is okay. The next right response matters more than producing a dramatic moment.

Do you want truth, or do you want reassurance that the old pattern is acceptable? What would obedience require if the familiar answer is not the faithful one?

Jesus, uncover the assumptions I am treating like truth. Help me respond to what is true and leave the ending in Your hands. Amen.
