When the closed door embarrasses you. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Do not overlook the kind of breakthrough that happens in your response. Awareness becomes powerful when it leads to obedience instead of repetition. A wise decision can still involve uncertainty. The goal is not perfect foresight; it is a surrendered decision under Christ's lordship. Pause before the old reflex becomes another decision. Truth is allowed to overrule what feels automatic.

What are you trying to force because waiting on God feels vulnerable? What would change if you trusted Jesus Christ with the result?

Jesus, do not let familiarity become authority in my response. Lead me in truth before emotion or habit can take over. Amen.
