When the credit card bill feels personal

Proverbs 21:5

Diligent planning tends toward abundance, hurry tends toward lack.

When the credit card bill feels personal. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. The first feeling is not always the problem. The problem is what you let that feeling authorize. Fear can authorize control. Rejection can authorize chasing. Shame can authorize hiding. Exhaustion can authorize choices you would not make from a clear mind. Money is a tool and a stewardship issue, not a measure of your worth or God's love. Jesus Christ is still Lord when the numbers make you nervous. The goal today is not to control the outcome. It is to stay aligned with Christ while the outcome is still unknown.

What would change if you stopped treating this moment like a verdict?

Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
