When the interview went well and the answer was still no. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You are not being faithless by admitting this is hard. The question is whether this moment gets to define what is true about you. Career success and career disappointment are both temporary places of stewardship. Your calling to faithfulness is deeper than any title on a business card. A pause can keep an old pattern from taking over. Let your next response be shaped by truth rather than reflex.

What can you faithfully do, and what remains outside your control? Where can you stop after doing what is actually yours?

Jesus Christ, I want this response to be led by You rather than by an old pattern. Make my thinking clear and my emotions steady enough to follow You faithfully. Amen.
