When the promotion goes to somebody else. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. You may not be able to change the person, timing, circumstance, or outcome. Your responsibility is your response, your agreement, and your obedience before Jesus Christ. A job can be important without becoming the source of your worth. Jesus Christ is Lord in the office, the job search, and every transition between them. Take the next obedient step that is actually yours. After that, stop carrying what was never assigned to you.
