When the scale decides whether it is a good morning. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. You may not control the other person, the timing, the number, the diagnosis, or the outcome. You do control what you agree with and what you bring to Jesus Christ. Your body is not your god and it is not your enemy. It is temporary, valuable, and worth stewarding under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Do the next faithful thing, then stop trying to carry the part that belongs to God.

Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You the part I can explain and the part I cannot. Keep me from reacting out of fear, shame, pride, or loneliness. Teach me to move with You. Amen.
