When the spreadsheet cannot make the decision for you

Ask God for wisdom and expect Him to give it generously.

James 1:5

When the spreadsheet cannot make the decision for you. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Sometimes nothing outside you changes first. Awareness becomes powerful when it leads to obedience instead of repetition. Discernment does not require you to become omniscient. Let Christ lead the next faithful step even when the whole road is not visible. Give truth a chance to interrupt what usually happens next. Truth is allowed to overrule what feels automatic.

Where has fear turned into an attempt to manage the outcome? What would change if you trusted Jesus Christ with the result?

Jesus Christ, help me see this situation clearly instead of through the story fear has written. Lead me clearly, strengthen me to obey, and keep me surrendered about the result. Amen.
