Jesus Christ can meet you in the part you cannot control while leading you in the part you can. Hope in Scripture is sturdier than positive thinking about outcomes. The resurrection of Jesus Christ gives hope a foundation circumstances cannot remove. Move on the responsibility that truly belongs to you. You can stop where your responsibility ends.

What familiar reaction is already waiting in the wings? What would change if Jesus Christ, not reflex, directed the next step?

Jesus Christ, expose every assumption in this situation that is pretending to be fact. Lead me clearly, strengthen me to obey, and keep me surrendered about the result. Amen.
