When waiting feels like being forgotten

Isaiah 40:31

Those who wait on the Lord receive renewed strength.

When waiting feels like being forgotten. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. You may not control the other person, the timing, the number, the diagnosis, or the outcome. You do control what you agree with and what you bring to Jesus Christ. Waiting is not proof that God has forgotten you. Jesus Christ is present in the part of the story that has no visible movement yet. Do the next faithful thing, then stop trying to carry the part that belongs to God.

Which reaction feels automatic here, and what would obedience look like instead?

Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
