When you and the other parent disagree
Parents should raise children in the instruction of the Lord without provoking them.
Ephesians 6:4
When you and the other parent disagree. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. Some pieces of this situation are simply not yours to manage. Bring your actual part to Jesus Christ and release the role you were never given. You can care deeply for your child without being able to manage every part of their story. Jesus Christ loves your child beyond the limits of your ability to protect, fix, or direct. Choose the next right action without trying to solve the entire outcome. Do not turn responsibility into an attempt at control.
Which response feels almost preprogrammed here? What response would better agree with Scripture?
Jesus, uncover the assumptions I am treating like truth. Give me wisdom without panic, courage without control, and trust without pretending. Amen.
