When you and your spouse see money differently

Matthew 6:31-33

Jesus tells us not to let material needs become our master, but to seek God's kingdom first.

When you and your spouse see money differently. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. There is a difference between acknowledging reality and surrendering your identity to it. One is wisdom. The other is captivity. Money is a tool and a stewardship issue, not a measure of your worth or God's love. Jesus Christ is still Lord when the numbers make you nervous. Bring the real problem to Jesus Christ, not the polished version. He already knows what is underneath.

Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You the part I can explain and the part I cannot. Keep me from reacting out of fear, shame, pride, or loneliness. Teach me to move with You. Amen.
