When you are afraid boundaries are unchristian

Jesus withdrew, prayed, and did not respond to every demand.

Mark 1:35-38

When you are afraid boundaries are unchristian. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. Your emotions can be honest signals without becoming instructions. A clear mind can acknowledge the feeling without letting it write the next action. Saying where your responsibility ends is not the same as refusing to love. A boundary can honor Jesus Christ without requiring someone else's approval. Control is not the goal of this moment. Choose alignment with Jesus Christ over the illusion of control.

What conclusion have you treated as settled simply because this moment hurts? What would you do differently if you refused to let this define you?

Jesus, I do not want familiarity to outrank obedience in this moment. Strengthen me to choose obedience where repetition once felt automatic. Amen.
