When you are afraid people are talking about you
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7
When you are afraid people are talking about you. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. Discomfort creates pressure to make it stop quickly. What calms the moment may still keep the deeper pattern alive. Fear speaks with confidence because it wants to sound like prophecy. Uncertainty does not remove Jesus Christ from the future you cannot see. You are not required to solve everything today. Let Jesus Christ have the final word for this moment.
Which truth from Scripture needs more volume than your first reaction? How can you give that truth practical authority in your next decision?
Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You what I understand and what I cannot make sense of. Steady me where fear and pride want to take over, and lead me faithfully. Amen.
