When you are afraid retirement will not be enough

Diligent planning tends toward abundance, hurry tends toward lack.

Proverbs 21:5

When you are afraid retirement will not be enough. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Before action comes agreement, so notice what you are agreeing with. Familiar reactions survive by outrunning careful truth. A number in an account can affect choices without being allowed to define you. Handle money faithfully while keeping your trust anchored in Jesus Christ. You can make a different choice before you feel completely different. Let truth be sufficient for the next faithful choice.

What would you choose if you were not trying to protect the familiar pattern? How can you tell the difference today?

Jesus, show me where I have added fear, shame, or prediction to the facts. Give me courage to act on truth and peace about what remains outside my control. Amen.
