When you are afraid to be happy because something might happen

When fear comes, choose to trust God.

Psalm 56:3

When you are afraid to be happy because something might happen. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. The first emotion is not automatically the issue. Do not let fear become control, rejection become chasing, shame become hiding, or exhaustion become permission to abandon wisdom. The loudest outcome in your mind is not automatically the most truthful one. Let Christ, not fear, have authority over what you believe about what comes next. The assignment is not to guarantee how this ends. Remain surrendered to Christ in the unresolved middle.

What if this moment is information rather than a verdict? What truth becomes easier to hear when this moment is not final?

Jesus Christ, I want this response to be led by You rather than by an old pattern. Teach me a different response and give me courage to practice it today. Amen.
