When you are afraid to look at the numbers
Jesus tells us not to let material needs become our master, but to seek God's kingdom first.
Matthew 6:31-33
When you are afraid to look at the numbers. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Ask yourself what meaning you are assigning to this before you react. Familiar reactions survive by outrunning careful truth. Money is a tool, not a measurement of human worth. Bring the financial reality under Christ's lordship instead of letting it become your verdict. Faithfulness can be quiet and still be real. Let truth be sufficient for the next faithful choice.
Where might familiarity be disguising itself as wisdom? How can you tell the difference today?
Jesus Christ, I come to You without pretending I understand all of this. Do not let shame or loneliness make the next decision for me. Teach me Your way. Amen.
