When you are afraid to start because you might fail
When fear comes, choose to trust God.
Psalm 56:3
When you are afraid to start because you might fail. This is where faith gets practical. Notice the conclusion that appears almost automatically. Do not let familiarity turn an assumption into a fact. The loudest outcome in your mind is not automatically the most truthful one. Uncertainty does not remove Jesus Christ from the future you cannot see. One faithful decision can interrupt more than you realize. What begins small can become a genuinely different way of living.
What wise counsel would you give a person you love if this were their story? How might that counsel apply to you today?
Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making this decision for me. Lead me in truth even if the old reaction still feels more natural. Amen.
