When you are always the fixer

You can choose whom you will serve, even when your family history is complicated.

Joshua 24:15

When you are always the fixer. This is where faith gets practical. Notice whether your mind is turning one event into a statement about your worth, safety, or future. Test that sentence against Scripture before you let it settle in as truth. Family history explains some of what shaped you, but it does not own your future. Jesus Christ can interrupt what has traveled through generations. Do not underestimate one decision that agrees with Jesus Christ. Let Jesus Christ govern the choice in front of you.

What would compassion and wisdom tell someone else in your exact position? Why is that wisdom harder to offer yourself?

Jesus Christ, I place both the clear part and the confusing part before You. Guard me from reacting out of fear or wounded pride; lead me in Your truth. Amen.
