When you are between what ended and what starts next

God's appointed time may seem slow, but His word is not late.

Habakkuk 2:3

When you are between what ended and what starts next. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Notice the story your mind is building before you act on it. The old script is strongest when it never has to answer to Scripture. Waiting can feel empty while still being inhabited by God. Jesus Christ is present in the part of the story that has not moved yet. You may not feel transformed in this moment, and that is okay. One truthful response can keep the old pattern from writing another page.

Do you want truth, or do you want reassurance that the old pattern is acceptable? What answer would require genuine change?

Jesus, I need Your truth to be stronger than what I have repeated before. Lead me in truth even if the old reaction still feels more natural. Amen.
