When you are consuming more than you create

A life without self-control is vulnerable like a city without walls.

Proverbs 25:28

When you are consuming more than you create. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. Discomfort creates pressure to make it stop quickly. A faithful direction can require staying uncomfortable long enough to choose well. Small habits deserve attention when they start governing your time, body, thoughts, or obedience. Freedom in Jesus Christ includes learning to say no to appetites that have learned to command you. You are not required to solve everything today. Choose whose truth will govern the part you can actually act on now.
