When you are healing from a parent's absence

Psalm 147:3

God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

When you are healing from a parent's absence. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Before you react, ask what this moment is trying to make you believe. Old patterns survive because they move quickly, before truth gets a chance to speak. Healing does not require pretending it did not hurt. Jesus Christ can meet you in the wound without letting the wound become your identity. You do not need a dramatic feeling today. You need enough truth to refuse the old script one more time.

Are you seeking wisdom, or are you seeking permission to repeat what is familiar?

Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You the part I can explain and the part I cannot. Keep me from reacting out of fear, shame, pride, or loneliness. Teach me to move with You. Amen.
