When you are leading people who do not like change
Commit your work to the Lord and let Him establish what is His.
Proverbs 16:3
When you are leading people who do not like change. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Do not overlook the kind of breakthrough that happens in your response. Refusing the automatic response can be the beginning of freedom. A job can be important without becoming the source of your worth. Jesus Christ remains your source whether work is thriving, changing, or absent. Pause before the old reflex becomes another decision. Let truth, not habit, decide what you do next.
What are you trying to force because waiting on God feels vulnerable? How would surrender change your response today?
Jesus Christ, show me what is actually true here and expose the story I have layered on top of it. Give me courage to act on truth and peace about what remains outside my control. Amen.
