When you are paying for a decision you regret

Faithfulness in small things matters to God.

Luke 16:10

When you are paying for a decision you regret. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. There is no virtue in denial, but there is also no freedom in self-definition by circumstance. What happened can inform your story without becoming your name. Financial pressure is real, but money is still a stewardship issue rather than an identity issue. Jesus Christ remains Lord when the numbers make you nervous. Stop presenting God with the polished summary. Nothing beneath the surface is hidden from Him.

What personal story has grown around the facts of the situation? How does that story compare with what Christ says is true?

Jesus Christ, expose the response I keep making without thinking. Give me clarity and courage to respond differently this time. Amen.
