When you are starting over again

Hope in God is an anchor for the soul.

Hebrews 6:19

When you are starting over again. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. You may feel pressure to do something simply so the tension will decrease. Jesus Christ may lead you through discomfort rather than around it. Hope in Scripture is sturdier than positive thinking about outcomes. Jesus Christ is still Lord, and resurrection is still real. Today does not need to carry the weight of your entire life. You can leave the entire future with God and still be faithful in the present.

What has God said that your first reaction is currently ignoring? What choice would show that you actually believe it?

Lord Jesus, make the truth clearer than the story I keep repeating. Lead me clearly, strengthen me to obey, and keep me surrendered about the result. Amen.
