When you are starting over later than planned. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. When something hurts, quick relief can feel like the obvious goal. Ask whether the response is wise, not merely whether it makes the discomfort disappear. What happens at work matters, but it cannot carry the weight of naming you. Jesus Christ is Lord in the office, the job search, and every transition between them. The entire future does not need an answer before the day is over. Decide whether fear, habit, or Jesus Christ will lead the next response.
