When you are tempted to make faith about outcomes. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. The emotion deserves attention, but not unquestioned authority. Feel what is present, then choose from truth rather than emotional momentum. Christian faith rests on Someone stronger than your changing emotions. Let the person and work of Jesus Christ carry what your feelings cannot. You are not responsible for manufacturing certainty. Your responsibility is to stay faithful while God remains responsible for what you cannot determine.

What are you calling final that may only be current? How might hope reenter the room if this is not the final word?

Lord, keep the old script from choosing on my behalf today. Give me a new response that reflects Your truth rather than my history. Amen.
