When you are tempted to manipulate the outcome

Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart.

Colossians 3:15

When you are tempted to manipulate the outcome. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. The urge to end the discomfort can make any fast answer look wise. Jesus Christ may lead you through discomfort rather than around it. You are allowed to move without possessing every answer. Ask for wisdom, choose faithfully, and trust Jesus Christ beyond what you can predict. You can stop demanding a complete solution from one difficult moment. You can leave the entire future with God and still be faithful in the present.

Which part of today's Scripture needs to interrupt your reflex? What choice would show that you actually believe it?

Jesus Christ, I bring You the pattern that keeps trying to decide before I do. Steady me in the moment between trigger and response, and lead me there. Amen.
