You may not control the other person, the timing, the number, the diagnosis, or the outcome. You do control what you agree with and what you bring to Jesus Christ. Money is a tool and a stewardship issue, not a measure of your worth or God's love. Jesus Christ is still Lord when the numbers make you nervous. Do the next faithful thing, then stop trying to carry the part that belongs to God.

Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
