When you are the first person in the family to do it differently. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. A quiet interruption can matter as much as a dramatic outcome. Catching the old pattern before you obey it again is real progress. You can honor where you came from without repeating everything that came with it. Let Jesus Christ teach you a different way where the family pattern has been automatic. What happens next does not have to be dictated by what happened before. Choose the response that agrees with Jesus Christ.

Where has anxiety convinced you that control is the same thing as wisdom? What would trusting God with that part actually require?
